Well, I have discovered the problem with some heads put together. We have been testing ldap on this guest that had the problem and we tryed removeing all ldap packages and once they were removed we did a reboot of the guest and when it came back up it was fine. So something was looping within the ldap libraries causing the ksoftirqd_CPU0 to load so high. This is my theory, I'm going to take this to SUSE and see if something could be wrong with one of the ldap library files. May have a bug on our hands here. -Cameron

It could be a total coincidence, but last month the monthly security scan sent ksoftirqd_CPU off to the races. We've disabled the weekly and monthly checks and now after 9 days, ksoftirqd_CPU0 has used 00:00:49 and ksoftirqd_CPU1 has used 00:00:50. They use to consume many minutes of CPU time each. -- Sincerely, Steve Kohrs First National Bank of Omaha Enterprise Technology Services 402.633.7058 This email and any files attached with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
