Because Chuckie enjoys kicking ant nests, he suggested that I point out
that things for Linux get really interesting if there were to exist a
virtual integrated ASCII (VT100) console such as is present on the real
h/w.  Traffic could move on such a path without requiring any ASCII-EBCDIC
conversion.  On the downside, no ability to issue #CP commands.  On the
upside, the ability to use vi before your virtual network connection is
established.

More problems:  How to decide which virtual interface to use?
