Not for me, since I never use /etc/zipl.conf for anything. I don't even have one on my systems.
Like Rob, I can see more value in querying what is already in the bootmap file. Seeing what _will_ be put in there is useful, also, but less than making sure I understand what is already in there and will go into effect on a reboot.
