My original :( suse kernel doesn't supports cifs..and now I see the kernel source (2.4.19) doesn't have fs/cifs. May I patch it with
"Latest 2.4 Release (gz containing cifs vfs source files and patch for kernel makefile and configure)" from the url http://us1.samba.org/samba/Linux_CIFS_client.html, or is it a better idea to compile a new 2.4.21 kernel?
