Yes Mark, it does. Please see below.
Do I have to set up the z/VM TCP/IP stack with Hipersocket definitions in order
to get Linux (z/VM guest) server connected to
z/OS LPAR?.
Thank you.

Those don't look like errors to me, just informational messages. Looks like
everything is up and running. Does an "ifconfig -a" command show both eth0
and hsi1?

Subject: Hipersocket - qdio error messages

Hello list -
I'm trying to connect a Linux (z/VM guest) server with a z/OS LPAR via
HiprSockets and I'm getting the following error messages when I reboot
the Linux server. I can't ping from Linux to z/OS or viceversa.

qeth: Trying to use card with devnos 0x7100/0x7101/0x7102
qdio : Adapter interruption facility not installed.
qdio : Not all CHSCs supported. Continuing.
qeth: Device 0x7100/0x7101/0x7102 is a HiperSockets card (level: D3GF)
with link type magic (portname: )
qeth: VLAN not supported on hsi1
qeth: IPv6 not supported on hsi1
qeth: Broadcasting not supported on hsi1
qeth: Trying to use card with devnos 0x1004/0x1005/0x1006
qeth: Device 0x1004/0x1005/0x1006 is an OSD Express card (level: 0358)
with link type Fast Eth (portname: ETHPORT1)
eth0: no IPv6 routers present
hsi1: no IPv6 routers present

I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.
