I assume that when you say the "change is not reflected" you mean that
issuing "ifconfig hiperlec" shows the wrong (old) address?

I would be fascinated to see the TCPIP console log with TRACE SECURITY and
the output of NETSTAT DEV HOME.  A call to the Support Center is always
your choice.
