I tried adding dasd_diag_mod to initrd, but that did not
change the dasd to use DIAG (still using FBA).
And we set DIAG using YAST.
Also, I saw a comment from Mark Post where he suggested
that you EXCLUDE the FBA module, but that was not in
/etc/sysconfig/kernel in the first place, so we did not pursue that.

Right now we're not sure what's going on.
Two of our newly cloned SLES9 servers work and the swap file
gets created at boot time.

Two don't work...but if we issue /etc/init.d/boot.local start
after boot...the VDISK swaps define just fine...

This is really strange.

Could it be that the dasd_fba_mod (or dasd_diag_mod) is not in the
initrd? You might need to add it in /etc/sysconfig/kernel
INITRDMODULES and run mkinitrd and zipl again.
