On z/VM, you re-IPL the starter kernel and initrd from your virtual
reader. In an LPAR, you do the same from tape.

Subject: System hang after vsftp install

I installed vsftpd and created the script to start it up under run level
3 and 5. There must be a problem in the startup script, because now
when I try to bring the system up, it hangs on the vsftpd startup, and I
cannot login to fix it. How does a person go about starting up in
single user mode or a run level other than 3 or 5?

Thanks,
