steps to add the module statically:
- Edit /etc/sysconfig/kernel:
Add "dummy" to the INITRD_MODULES: INITRD_MODULES="reiserfs xyz" ->
INITRD_MODULES="reiserfs xyz dummy"
Save and quit the file.
- Execute "mkinitrd"
- Execute "zipl"
For the interface:
Copy /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-lo to /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-dummy0
and change the options in the new file.
Reboot and it should be done.
