I have start scripts for all the daemons I need at /etc/rc.d/rc5.d . That is the strange part! For some reason they execute when going from "s" to "5" but not "4" to "5"!!! I can go from runlevel 5 (default) to 4 and all the daemons come down. But when I go from runlevel 4 to 5, the daemons do not start up. If I go from 4 to "s" and then to 5, it works. I have not looked into the init scripts.
