Different approach to same problem. If all my rescue disks are remote
and I rely on the network, it doesn't matter what variety of system is
on the actual disks. It'd be nice to have similar systems, but it's not
required. Our environment is a bit more diverse than most, so that may
not be a big issue for other people. 

You could accomplish the same task with a install/repair system desk
captured into a IPLable NSS too, but that's more different than some
Unix weenie might be able to handle.
