AFAIK SAP does not support *any* database on Linux for System z. The database
has to reside somewhere else. The option IBM pushes is for DB2/390 on z/OS,
which has a major complexity disadvantage.
I know, we are running it ;-)

I'was reading an announcement from RedHat and SAP about certification
and support on Linux for System z. Does anyobody know if this support is
also for DB on Linux for System z?
Is MySql supported by SAP on Linux for System z?
Is Oracle supported by SAP on Linux for System z?
Is DB2 UDB supported by SAP on Linux for System z?
