You mean there is an /sys/bus/ccw/drivers/zfcp/0.0.0402/0x<wwpn> without an /sys/bus/ccw/drivers/zfcp/0.0.0402/0x<wwpn>/0x<lun> directory? That is real odd. By still seeing the 3590's you mean the wwpn's are still generated for /sys/bus/ccw/drivers/zfcp/0.0.<ccuu>? If yes, did you remove them from /etc/sysconfig/hardware/hwcfg-zfcp-bus-ccw-0.0.<ccuu>?

Verzonden: dinsdag 23 december 2008 17:06 Aan: LINUX-390@VM.MARIST.EDU Onderwerp: Making newly atached ts1120 drives stick through a reboot Sles9 sp4 guest under vm 5.3. We recently replaced our two 3592 drives with ts1120 drives. We also added two additional drives. I created the appropriate file for /etc/sysconfig/hardware for the san attachment specifying wwpns for each drive. Upon reboot, the system does not see any of the new drives, but does still see the 3590s previously attached. Going into /sys/bus/ccw/drivers/zfcp/0.0.0402 (id of our fibre chanel attachment), I can go into the subdirectory created for each wwpn, and echo a 64-bit 0 (in hex) to unit_add, and the appropriate entries appear in /sys/bus/scsi/devices. Lsscsi also shows the new ts1120 drives. How to make these definitions permanent? I have tried doing a mkinitrd then zipl, but the 1120s disappear after the system is restarted. Thanks for any and all help.
