performance metrics to solve performance problems.

2:00 PM Velocity Software: Major Product Announcement

Velocity Software Announces: An exciting new product focused on Linux
and z/VM operations. The presentation will include a live

connectivity allows.

3:15 PM Coffee Break and Prize Drawing

3:30 PM Linux and z/VM Performance Configuration Guidelines

Managing performance and capacity planning is taken for granted on
mainframes. But managing zLinux running on z/VM has a new set of
challenges. Many of the challenges are based on lack of education, or
even proper research. This presentation was created to assist new
installations (and many old ones) by providing a set of best
practices, and the reasons for those best practices.

The speaker will be Barton Robinson of Velocity Software.

4:45 PM Free-for-All

Members will attempt to answer any reasonable VM or hardware related
questions. If you are having a problem and want to find out if others
are experiencing it, or you are installing new hardware or software
and want to find out what types of problems others have experienced,
here is the place to find out.

----------

Members are encouraged to bring ideas for future presentations and
speakers to this meeting.
