We have noticed on our 2 z/VM Linux instances "makewhatis" is scheduled to run daily and weekly via CRON. Since this program is re-building whatis database, I am guessing its ok turn it off to save some CPU utilizations. Does anyone see a reason to keep "makewhatis" running?
