Thanks, not sure why I thought I could do that. Also I'm outside the range of 
the prefix. It appears to be OK now.

You mention CP SET VMLAN and AUTOLOG1.  MACPREFIX and MACIDRANGE are not
valid for SET VMLAN.  They must be changed on the VMLAN statement in
SYSTEM CONFIG.
