Yes, but how to know "how long" to keep the files in /tmp? A day, week, month, quarter, longer? I may be unduly influenced by my z/OS background of DASD management. In that arena, if a storage area is over provisioned, I get hit up as to why I am "wasting" space. Curious, to me, that space assigned to a function but unused is "wasted" whereas the same space assigned to the "available to be assigned" pool (but not usable until it is so assigned) is not considered "wasted". -- John McKown Systems Engineer IV IT Administrative Services Group HealthMarkets(r) 9151 Boulevard 26 * N.
