On Windows PuTTY is easy and does ssh, and X-WIN32 (StarNet Communications - licensed software) works well for X. I've used both to talk to Linux systems - not Z ones. (I'd rather have a plain ssh -Y or ssh -X, but that's me. :-) Both PuTTY and X-WIN32 are straightforward Windows app installs. -- --henry schaffer ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@vm.marist.edu with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/
