On Windows PuTTY is easy and does ssh, and X-WIN32 (StarNet
Communications - licensed software) works well for X. I've used both to
talk to Linux systems - not Z ones. (I'd rather have a plain ssh -Y or
ssh -X, but that's me. :-)

Both PuTTY and X-WIN32 are straightforward Windows app installs.
