In the past, CLARiiON arrays weren't certified for Linux on System z.  Has that 
changed?

Generally speaking, multipath only needs to be configured if you have a single 
piece of disk presented to the operating system as though it were two or more 
disks.  If that's the case here, then yes it makes sense.  Otherwise, not at 
all.
