This project doesn't look as simple as I first thought it would be. Running many excel macros on a windows pc is very time consuming and costs overtime. I asked our programmer to send me a copy of the code for a simple program and the most complex program. I will check it out and see if I can convert them and run under a 'LAMP or LAPP stack' set up.

OpenOffice macro capabilities are very poor compared to Excel's. You may be able to export the data to a CSV file and then replace the Excel macros with awk or sed scripts. > Our operators run many excel vb macros for production on a windows > pc.
