We use mostly disks of 65520 cylinders.
Bigger than that and you can't make them non fullpack minidisks and we don't 
want any guests using cyl 0 (label).

You didn't say if you were running VM or not though.

reasonable CKD device for a DS8300. We currently use Mod-3, 9, 27, and 54
