It must be an outdated IBM document. I can successfully run the " VMFBTMAP ALL"
command under maint630 id and now I can have a smaller customized RSU for z/VM
system.

Thanks,
Ray

It seems I have already had the latest RSU.

I followed an IBM document with this "VMFBTMAP ALL" command under maint ID to
generate a z/VM service reports to list the fixes install on z/VM systems, it
reported the following errors:

VMFBTMAP ALL

VMFUTL2767I Reading VMFINS DEFAULTS B for additional options

VMFBMP2304E The Software Inventory disk (51D) must be accessed as D with R/W
status
VMFBMP2760I VMFBTMAP processing completed unsuccessfully

Do I suppose to run the command under maint630 or maint?

Thanks,
Ray

It is RSU 1401.

It came with the z/VM installation. I ran the "q cplevel" command and had the
following

q cplevel
z/VM Version 6 Release 3.0, service level 1302 (64-bit)
Generated at 08/07/13 11:42:58 UTC

What I have now is second RSU in the year 2013. If I interpret "6302RSU1”
correctly, it should be V6.3 Second RSU but do not know the year.

Hi, Ray.

Have you already applied the 630RSU1 to the system? If you have, then you can
delete it from the 500 mdisk.

Have a good one, too.
