I spent a few hours this morning manually applying all known patches to SLES
12. My LV still comes up as 'NOT available' after a system reboot.

I just tried the following to no avail:
vgchange -ay (LV status changed to available)
pvscan -v
vgscan -v
lvscan -v

I then went to yast | System | Services Manager and Enabled and Started both
lvm2-activation-early and lvm2-activation. When I clicked OK to save the
configuration change I again received the pop-up which contained a message
stating that there were no Volume Groups found.

This is very frustrating.

No, I don't have an easy way to obtain maintenance as my system doesn't have
internet connectivity. I checked the available maintenance this afternoon but
nothing looked like it was related (looking at the package names).

OK, thanks. Now, have you installed any of the maintenance that has come out
since SLES12 went GA?
