We were told IBM that z/VM was fine since we do not specify leap seconds in the STP config and our STP steers to an NTP server.
I haven't seen anything published, though, so a PMR might be a good idea if you want some warm fuzzies. -----Original Message----- From: Linux on 390 Port [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of J O Skip Robinson Sent: Thursday, May 14, 2015 3:24 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [LINUX-390] Leap second Someone here has asked about our preparedness for the upcoming Leap Second on Linux systems, most of which here run on wienie-ware. But we do have some guests on z/VM. There were references to the need for a kernel update for some releases of some distributions. Apparently there was a Leap Second in 2012, which we seemed to survive in blissful ignorance. Any issues with this one? . . .
