Again, that's not terribly relevant, unless z/VM's TCPIP service virtual machine is using the same VSWITCH as your Linux guests. (Some shops do that, many don't.) If a "Q VSWITCH" command, issued from MAINT, doesn't show VSW1, then it doesn't exist (yet) and needs to be defined.
