Hi All, In our VM we have set a MAC PREFIX, “DELXVM21: VMLAN MACPREFIX 020001”. So all our guests have a MAC PREFIX 020001.
One guest needs to have the MACID set to a specific value. So the NIC shows: “NICDEF 0600 TYPE QDIO LAN SYSTEM VSWCCL MACID 000066” In zVM 5.4 this would give a mac address 020001000066. Today we have moved the guest to zVM 6.3 (SSI cluster). Still all other guests in this zVM have the 020001 prefix. This guest indeed gets the suffix 000066. But the prefix is 020000 for this guest. Why didn’t the guest get the correct prefix in the MAC address? How can I resolve this?
