Jake, this is precisely why I recommend a directory manager such as 
DIRMAINT to my new clients.  Yes, you have to learn to use it, and no, 
it's not free, but it's not that hard to learn and it prevents accidental 
minidisk overlaps. AND it will interface with your security manager (e.g. 
RACF) so that you don't have to do all that manually.  Its payback is 
peace of mind and automation.
