As many sites are upgrading from SLES 11 to SLES 12, I was curious if there
were any specific references or known standards regarding "tunable parameters"
related to s390x? Outside of the obvious things like setting the vm.swappiness
to something other than the default of "60", I was curious if there were any
"standard configs" for SLES 12 regardless of the application it's running.

For example, on some of our SLES 11 systems, the following notes were made in
/etc/sysctl.conf regarding "tuning for s390x". I'm not sure if these are still
advantageous to carry over and if there should be any additional configuration
changes:

kernel.sched_min_granularity_ns = 10000000
kernel.sched_wakeup_granularity_ns = 15000000
kernel.sched_latency_ns = 80000000
kernel.sched_tunable_scaling = 0

I was able to find a document on SUSE Blog regarding "SLES 11/12 OS Tuning &
Optimization Guide", but seems architecture independent and doesn't seem to
reference anything specific to SLES 12 vs SLES 11.
