Do you have VMTAPE on z/VM?

Broadcom has a vmtli rpm package that provides Linux functional equivalents of
CMS VMTAPE MOUNT etc.
The Linux vmtape mount command communicates with CMS VMTAPE over TCP/IP and
provides synchronous mounting of tapes.

You can mount scratch and specific VSN tapes.
