Check out http://lcdproc.omnipotent.net/
The SMBus pinout for BP6, BE6-II and BF6,
1.clock
2.N/C
3.ground
4.data
5.VCC
I am going to design a module similar to the matrix-orbital one.
I have a few 16x2 LCD displays and I think a MicroChip PIC device will be
able to drive it and the I2C bus. By doing it this way I can have the display
poll the sensors and not need any code in the operating system (although I
would probably make it so that the O/S could display messages on the display.
