It's not just SMP machines. I've seen it happen on a pair of Dell
Optiplexes & a Dell dimension too. I think it's the recent drivers.
I tryed to go back to the June version of the drivers, and they don't
kill the X server, but they do seem as slow as software drivers on my TNT2
