The procedure on the web site includes both the /cc switch for the update &
resetting the cmos w/the jumper. Mine was reluctant to start after flashing
until I manually reset cmos.
My APIC error problem has dramatically dropped since going to QQ, dropping
by several orders of magnitude. I have been up now for approx. 4 days
(mostly light load) w/only 3 such errors in the log. I haven't noticed that
lm_sensors has changed as was mentioned in another post. I made the
suggested mods to the w83781d_init_client() function, but have been using
the default config file. All the numbers seem reasonable for what they claim
to be.
I made the decision to try a slot 1 mobo & slockets - maybe now that the bp6
is on waivers, it is sitting up and taking notice...

yes, but is it really the same as moving that jumper? Again i think
abit used to call for both steps.
