Hmmm... I'm going to try the QQ bios update and
see what happens. I'll give my symtoms and see
if they match with anyone elses.
BP6 w/ 2x366@366
256 MB RAM
RedHat 6.1, 2.2.14 kernel
XFree86 3.3.6-5
3 UDMA hard drives and 1 CDROM filling the ATA/33 busses
Matrox G400 16 MB video card
A 3c905B PCI network card
Some cheapo crystal audio sound card.
250 Watt power supply
Stock Celeron fans with one 5" case fan
The machine performs very reliabily under loads.
I dont think I have a cooling problem, burnBX
and burnP6 cant seem to get any of my components
over 59C, they normaly run at 32C.
The powersupply is a possible culprit.
It locks hard about every other day but ONLY
when running X. There are no messages, no oopses,
no magic sysRec, nada. By shutting X down at night
when I head home, I have cut out 90% of the crashes
but it still happens some times when I am working
at the machine.
Hope this is useful.
