I also find this strange. All this fighting kernel configs, cooling,
voodoo good luck charms, etc and a BIOS update seems to fix things. It
really makes me scratch my head and wonder about Abit. The board had
so much promise, but I think they've pissed in the well a bit. Never
the least hint that they were aware of any problems or were even
looking at anything (except maybe the apic errors).

QQ is good to me too. Pushing 29 days now. My previous locks were the
middle of the night kind.
