Yes I did. The QQ bios; including all the voodoo like "clearing the
CMOS" etc. This is, as said, a stress test freeze, during daily work the
board is "reasonably fine". However, a stress test should not hang a
board at a simple "in" instruction.

Further results: I tried all types of trickery, even changed the ISA
timings in the BIOS, but to no avail. The "in" just quits. I'm going to
need a hardware guru to fix this :-(

If anyone wants to comment on this, please do so. I don't know any
further tests that I can use, if it does not solve the GET_STAT() in
ide.c (line 1460, as you might have seen before). I do know where it
hangs, I think it's not OK, but I don't know how to fix it - and that's
pretty much it. Back to work now - with the deeper knowledge that I have
an instable board.
