Hi all, hello Andre, one more test done, just FYI: network unconfigured, but now X running. test: export DISPLAY=:0; X& sonar -root& xmatrix -root & cat /dev/hda > /dev/null& sonar and xmatrix are from the xscreensaver distribution by Jwz. networkcard not configured (it *is* in the kernel, however). Switching a couple of times from console to X and back will cause the infamous DMA crash. (see previous msgs) So far, all my crashes seem UDMA66 related, and they seem not network- or other-thingy- related. However, I'm sure you all keep in mind that this is all highly speculative, and that the reasons for *my* crashes are also very much related to the crashtest commands I use. UDMA33 will *not* cause a crash, whatever I try - so far, that is. Best regards, V. -- -- =- To unsubscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the -= =- body of "unsubscribe linux-abit". -=
