My suggestion after the docs had me confused, is just accept the
default and do 'make ; make install' in both the i2c and lm_sensors
sources. This gives you modules. Then if IIRC depmod -a, and then
there is a utility to run that tells you which modules to modprobe.
Maybe I am forgetting a step, but I finally just decided to do a make
and see what happened and it turned out fairly easy after that.
