All,
The Flip-Chip will only work as a mono processor on a native BP-6 with a
NEO. Some very brave individuals have successfully changed the sockets
on BP-6's and got twin FC's to work (one guy said they had went through
3 to get 1 to work). It is the SMP part that keeps the new CopperMines
from being a big hit on the BP-6. Also, the BX chipset is stressed at
100MHz. It is easier just to buy a new board. Hopefully the VP-6 will
give us the upgrade path we need. Of course it will cost us.
