What about managed evolution, like cattle breeding and cow culling? Just

processes does that make it "not" evolution? There's even software to
manage the cow culling process that takes into account a number of
biological and market factors to help breeders manage the "evolution"
process. Fatter and dumber with each generation.
And then we have managed extinction (culling), and semi-managed extinction
(deforestation). These are human activities that either provoke or end
evolution at an accelerated rate. Not random, but they certainly have a
drastic effect the global genepool.
I agree with you that the biosphere is becoming increasingly genetically
homogenized. Sort of like the destop O/S market where a single virus can
wipe out herds of cattle all over the world.
