Encouraging and aiding and abetting are different things.

I doubt this will help.

Bought me an entire IBM Model 55 (minus monitor), complete with a
really nice keyboard, for $12 at a church yard sale. At the same sale
I also picked up a Northgate keyboard that is both clicky and has the
ctrl key in the right place.

Both keyboards continue to hold up nicely.

NFS is not really suitable for the kind of peer-to-peer file sharing
that MS wanted to do. If you have root on your own machine, you can
easily read all the other files off the NFS server.

The NFS security model works ok for an environment where users are on
terminals (X or plain) hanging off one of a group of mainframes that
are all under central administration. It is lousy for a PC-style
computing environment.

Ballmer has been with MS at least since the beginning of the DOS era.
No, he wasn't around when Gates and Allen were selling BASIC for the
Altair, but he's not exactly a recent acquisition.

I agree that the way MS pretends to be innovative, while in fact they
are merely re-implementing other people's ideas, is one of the most
annoying characteristics of the company.

Did I ever say this? Why the hell do you always have to insinuate things
which I never implied? It could be your "comprehension" problem.

By the way I have always qustioned the legality of income tax.
It was a Republican president who inplemented the income tax by the way.
