That's now largely a thing of the past. I pay Demon £10.75/month plus
£5/month to BT for Surftime evening (6pm-8am) and weekend (6pm Friday-8am
Monday) unmetered access. Also £15/month to BT Internet for 24/7 unmetered

Not really. Those who believe in this particular god are the ones
bound by his commands. If I am or not one of them makes no difference

I find the scriptures simply an amusing mass of incoherence used

entertainment.

Murder is by definition unlawful. Therefore, if you say killing at war
is not unlawful, the alleged lawfulness of the killing is sufficient
cause for the killing not to be murder.
Therefore, you, in the paragraph above, have said (among other things)
"killing at war is not murder because it's not unlawful".
Now, whether you can see what you said or not, is not my problem.
>The two are not the same.
No, not the same, but one implies the other. And you said enough
to imply what I said you said.

How about this:
Sun is going to ship GNOME linked to thir proprietary libc.
The exception allowing linking to libc is only valid if the library
is not shipped along the GPLd binary.
This is as clear a violation of the GPL as any other. See the FSF
complaining?

I think we had a thread about this issue a few months ago. The entire
exception for the OS and standard libraries seems to fall apart if you
bundle a GPLed application with the system. It seems extremely unlikely
that this was the intent of that clause. It was clearly intended to apply
to cases where a program is distributed by itself and this distribution
includes the libraries, not where there the program is included with the
entire system.

Indeed, it seems clear that no matter what is or is not covered by that
clause, nothing is if you ship the GPLd program along with the OS.
I'd say it's pretty clear that this is a violation of the letter of the
GPL. I have no idea if it's a violation of the spirit, since I am no
mind reader :-)
