But I've been exceedingly disappointed in Apple ever since they
introduced the MacIntosh.
The Apple ][ series was extremely friendly to technically literate,
and had an open architecture.
The MacIntosh alienated me right off by
a) being a locked box (access to expansion slots was not merely
discouraged, it was downright prohibited).
b) abandoned the CLI ENTIRELY for a woefully under-developed GUI.
Very few Apple ][ users ever bothered with the Mac series.
