Didn't need to; I have the lot of them, sitting at home.

So, on the one hand, I have a set of CDs that work, on the other, I have a
set of CDs that don't. Free software that you can't use isn't worth nearly
as much as paid software you can use.

I'm going to give MDK8 a go tonight; so far, I've not had problems burning
CDs from their ISOs.

Well, I've been through 4 burns, two machines, and about 897 different
reboots, and RH71 refuses to admit that the CD it booted from is, in fact,
an RH CD, refuses to connect to a server and refuses to read the info off
the SCSI CD. All in all, a royal pain in the proverbials.

The error was "Invalid FTP response". Both for FTP and HTTP connects. This
from a server which is known good. Blecch.

Really? The Intel platform, eh? Not, say, the programmer who created this
monstrosity in the first place without a shred of consideration for the
possible impact of doing it, no, not his fault, must be the platform.

If you can't create your program by careful motions of a magnet across the
surface of the disk platters[1] yer a weenie.

[1] Yer also a weenie if you don't have at least one clean room in your home

Bzzzt. Not everything is a dichotomy.
In this case, in particular, you are presenting something that is NOT
a dichotomy as if it were one. That's why it's a FALSE dichotomy.

Don't they teach logic in Perdue?

Well, considering I was using no false premise in the statement
you replied to, it means "non sequitur" right now.

It also means "one of the ways in which your tactic is flawed".

You're the guy who was all over COOA claiming to be a well-weathered

Well, let's see, apparently you find all american women so
scary you had to bring an alien which under the implicit
threat of being deported will have sex with you for as long
as you feed her.

You know, that russian gal you brought? She has the exact
same rights under american law as any other gal. And sooner
or later she's going to find out. And half your roy rogers

Wrong. You get whatever you can negotiate.

Over the last 10 years, I've never worked in an office where everyone
in the same job classification was getting the same pay.

Those who are in a stronger position to negotiate, and take advantage
of it, get more pay.

By the way, men need more pay, because women STILL refuse to
pay their fair share of expanses.

Blah. What an empty discourse. Aaron (who I asked) already
gave his reasons. And they were the exact ones I guessed.

This is not the proper forum for that. To do that, I operate in real life.
