According to the "RT-11 Mini-Reference Manual" the character set (from 000
to 047) is: space, 'A' .. 'Z', '$', ',', unused, '0' .. '9'.

How can it be a crime to not report a
bug?

Doesn't seem to make sense.
There could be many reasons why a person
chooses not to report a bug.

Why do so many people think
just because Mandrake Linux has problems,
that's a problem with Linux in general?

If you're not happy with the Mandrake distro,
just try RedHat 7.1. I use RedHat 7.1 and
it installed fine. It's working great too!

That's not quite the way I remember it, and I actually used perl
version 1 which wasn't GPL'd. The Artistic License must have
been created to fix the mistake of applying the GPL to version
3.0.

Exactly: the compiled object is just going to deal with the
length of the string.

They change every time. That's the point of doing them dynamically.
The ones that don't matter are already cached as disk files and
just included in the asp pages. Speaking of efficiency, it turns out
the xml parser has been caching everything it has received to disk
even though none of it is reusable. One of the servers completely
filled its disk. Apparently there is no way to turn this off and no
automatic cleanup ever.

> > Usually I've found that if a solution hasn't been posted already it

> *Try*, it won't cost you anything, would it?

Yes, it is emotionally distressing to deal with Microsoft, when
you already know the answer you are going to get after being
mislead first. As it happens it has been a while since I looked.
Now a deja search for 'msxml3 problem'
finds about 10 pages of results. This one seems to be relevant:

http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&ic=1&th=5c95f4ac8d43c1c,4
&seekm=OtaX4MxsAHA.684%40tkmsftngp04#p

Note how it starts out with a message about the error, and what Microsoft
told him initially (For those too lazy to look, they said he had bad
memory, he replaced it with no change).
Then the 4th message in the thread gives the real 'same as always'
Microsoft response. (For the lazy:
"The dev team has looked at this and is working to fix the problem.
Hopefully it will be fixed in the next web-release. If you have any
  questions just ask!")

Remind me again why people buy this stuff.
