Linux console on 164SX Alpha

Hello

I'm now running Debian GNU/Linux on an Alpha PC164SX based box,
starting up using on-disk MILO.

I'd like to know how, if possible, to get the console to 80x50
instead of 80x25.

On my PC/x86, I just had to add the VGA=1 line to the "lilo.conf"
file for LILO.
