Redhat 6.0 on multia, stock ethernet driver has misaligned code

Using the internal ethernet port on my multia, (it uses a dec 21040?
ethernet chip)
I get a misaligned warning on every packet of a ping.

Are there updated drivers somewhere?  I haven't really got enough spare
disk to 
compile a new kernel on that machine, though I will if I have too.

Sorry, I didn't search the mailing list better, and it occurs to me just
now to try
