Ok, i am lost now...
i tried to install SuSE 6.3 and it locks up randomly during the
installation on my PC164 box.
If i do an minimal installation it goes through the package installation
and through timezone/network configuration. After that it says that it
will start the installation now. But after pressing "Ok" i have a black
screen in front of me with a blinking cursor in the upper left corner.
The system is totally frozen (no CTRL-ALT-DELETE and no SYSRQ).
If i tell MILO to manually boot the installed system, the following
happens:
- Linux boots up :)
- I get a login prompt :)
- i log in
- then yast will get started
after that the system is completely frozen again.
If i do a "developer profile" installation the system gets frozen during
package installation at random position.
I will try again this evening.
Greets,
Juergen
