Subject: COMMERCIAL: Regulus, An integrated accounting package for ISP, new release
available
Date: Sun, 28 Mar 1999 09:59:54 GMT
=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====
We are more than proud to announce the Regulus-1.4.1 release.
This release is a upgrade release. See our new WEB site and
the online demo at <http://www.regulus.safe.ca>, This release
focus was to improve the automatic processing, such Regulus
can now monitor and bill customers while being almost
unattended.
Special care have been done to allow ISP to customize
screens appearance (logs, bill, statements, etc...).
Regulus is available (Linux, glibc library) in RPM and
TAR format.
Major improvements list:
- Shell invoice.sh (in examples) allow ISP to generate
recurring contract if "automatic invoicing" is
set in the user contract definition.
- HTML template are search first in $REGULUS/conf/html
and if not available in $REGULUS/html.
- A disconnection explanation message (customizable
by the ISP) is send to the disconnect user
(see disnote.lng.txt in conf directory).
- In the mail sent by the rulers, the From: field is
customizable by the ISP (see ACCTNAME in htmlequi.conf)
- Regulus screen display can be done according group
member ID (see group.conf), allowing ISP to
dispatch functions and responsibilities among staff
member.
- Max session duration can be define in cpt.conf
(but the total session duration is checked against
the current running counter)
- Customer bill statement can be send via E-mail
- Setting up a discount entry for recurring contract
- Pure numeric search are now possible on date field.
Bug Fixes:
- The log data-base component is not indexed anymore.
- Bug fixes in "record search" operator (and,or)
- When created the contract are automatically set unpaid
You can download current version for Linux server from:
ftp://ftp.safe.ca/pub/regulus
Thanks to our current customers for all the
suggestions, support and help they provide to us in
the "making of Regulus".
Regulus is a accounting/billing/monitoring product
dedicated to ISP market, its Real-Time capabilities
are unique and allow ISP to really manage
and control terminal server access by Internet user.
Working as a daemon and by checking connection situation
every 5 seconds, Regulus is a very effective tool to help you
to reach the ISP's ideal situation:
- To have all lines but one are busy all day long
delivering connectivity to paying customers.
ISP use Regulus "to boldly go beyond the break-even point".
A bientot

=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====
Hello,
I have released a new version of mp3blaster, version 2.0b6. Mp3blaster
is an interactive text-based program that plays mp3 audio files. It is
one of the very few mp3 players for the text console that allows full
interactive control during playback. One of its key features is the
ability to compose a very flexible playlist.
Important changes from 2.0b5 are:
- -hopefully reduces the audible ``snaps'' between songs that are being
played from a playlist.
- -Minimum size reduced to 80x24, supported by more consoles.
- -bugfix:play one group from a playlist now possible again.
- -built-in menu that lists all keys and their functions.
- -improved playwindow layout
You can download mp3blaster from these places:
ftp://mud.stack.nl/pub/mp3blaster/mp3blaster-2.0b6.tar.gz
http://www.stack.nl/~brama/src/mp3blaster-2.0b6.tar.gz
And very soon:
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/apps/sound/players/mp3blaster-2.0b6.tar.gz
