Subject: Procinfo 17 - system information utility
Date: Sun, 23 May 1999 20:23:33 GMT
=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====
Keywords: procinfo, system info
Version 17 of procinfo has just been released.
Procinfo is a small program that gathers some system information from
diverse files under /proc and prints it to the screen. It duplicates
some of the functionality of free(1) and uptime(1). It should work with
any kernel release close to 1.0 or later up to the latest development
kernel. (Well, I haven't actually tried 1.0 for years, but you get the
idea.)
This release fixes a number of bugs (with SMP, on Sparcs, and some on
any system).
Get it from:
ftp.cistron.nl /pub/people/svm
metalab.unc.edu /pub/Linux/system/status/ps
tsx-11.mit.edu /pub/linux/sources/usr.bin
Cheers,
Sander

XTide is a GPL'd tide clock and tide prediction package that has been
honored with inclusion on some Linux CDs. For details, see
http://www.flaterco.com/xtide/.
Changelog for XTide 2.1.3 (1999-05-16): (Code rot) Stopped including
stream.h in common.hh. It was always redundant with iostream.h, but
now stream.h has vanished from Sun's latest compiler.

AEmail is a small shareware package that works with Procmail and
Postgres 6.3.2 to maintain a searchable archive of received email.
With AEmail, those of us who get way too much email to sort out in the
normal way can skim it, nuke it, forget it, and still get it back if
it turns out to be important later on. For details, see
http://www.flaterco.com/aemail/.
Changelog for AEmail 1.0.4 (1999-05-16): (Robustness) Ignore trailing
garbage and/or RFC 822 compliant comments on the Message-ID line
instead of rejecting the message.
"To do" for AEmail 1.1:
1. Upgrade to Postgres 6.5
2. Add an environment variable to set the default location of the
output mailbox
Thank you,
DWF
