Well no one answered this.... The best I know of are two programs
called "x3270" and "tn3270". They require TCP/IP connections by
default, but could probably be hacked to cooperate with a simple comm
program if desired.
I don't know where they originate from, but I got them on a Slackware
distribution a few years ago.
